The Friday 56 & First Line Friday | Finding Evergreen

The Friday 56 is hosted weekly by Freda's Voice.
First Line Friday is hosted weekly by Hoarding Books.

Happy Friday!

This new release from Jennifer Rodewald is next on my reading list, and I'm so ready to read it this weekend. Or, considering how it's likely to mess with all my emotions, maybe I'm not...

First Line: Brandi's head throbbed.

From 56%: "He does love you, you know. Even if he's acting like an idiot."

ABOUT THE BOOK
He thought he’d found the thrill of his life; she, the romance she’d hadn’t dared to hope for. Falling in love had been easy. Being married? Totally different story.

Married within a year of meeting, Ethan and Brandi add a foster daughter to their newly established family. Their story is enchanting—inspiring. Except when the fairytale fails. The stresses of unmet expectations and wounds from their pasts knife into their marriage, severing what they believed would be forever.

Hope for a broken marriage. Healing for their wounded spirits. It would take both to find evergreen. Are they brave enough to try?

Now, feel free to leave a line from a book near you in the comments below.
And be sure to stop by Hoarding Books* and Freda's Voice for a peek into other books.

*This week, Hoarding Books is hosting an "in like a lion, out like a lamb"-themed FLF in honor of spring.

My FLF comes from a book I’m reading now, Only Yours by Susan Mallery….

MONTANA HENDRIX’S perfectly good morning was thwarted by a hot dog, a four-year-old boy and a Lab and golden retriever mix named Fluffy.

  2. The book I'm featuring on my blog this week is Love on the Mend by Karen Witemeyer. I love all the books I've read of hers. Here, I will share the first line of chapter 17 from the book I'm currently reading, The Social Tutor by Sally Britton. "Thomas waited for her arrival, this time on Christine's side of the brook, his breath turning to fog in the cold air." Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
