another fun return to three springs, texas!

veterinarian hank hopson and vet tech gwen bayer are only in town temporarily. they both need a little time to reconnect with family and get ready for their next steps (in very different places). yet as they get to know one another as neighbors and coworkers, is there enough of a spark to make them stay instead?

neither hank nor gwen wants a relationship, but of course, their chemistry is easy to spot. it leads to the struggle throughout the book between sticking to the plans and taking a chance on new opportunities. it's sweet to see them navigate the new possibilities (especially with five-year-old henry alongside).

they do start up with the whole "his cowgirl" and "her cowboy" a little quickly (in my opinion), and henry didn't always sound quite like a five-year-old, but i still very much enjoyed this quick romance read.
