Her One and Only by Becky Wade

Gray Fowler, star NFL tight end, is being pursued by a stalker, so his team hires a protection agency to keep Gray under the watch of a bodyguard at all times. When Gray meets Dru Porter, an agent assigned to him, he's indignant. How can an attractive young female half his size possibly protect him?

But Dru's a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt. She's also ferociously determined to uncover the identity of Gray's stalker. And she's just as determined to avoid any kind of romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past. But the closer they get to finding the stalker, the closer they grow to each other. As the danger rises, can Dru and Gray entrust their hearts--and their lives--to one another?

Another swoon-worthy romance (with a good dose of suspense) from Becky Wade, Her One and Only completes the Porter Family saga with an excellent story for Dru, the youngest and only female Porter sibling. Fans of the series should be sure to read it!

A dangerous and relentless stalker brings NFL star Gray Fowler into Dru Porter’s life. She tries to remain professional and use her impressive skills and tough personality solely to protect him - but of course, the more time they spend together, the more undeniable their mutual attraction and natural chemistry become. Danger looms around them constantly as they work to discover both the identity of his stalker and the possibilities of love, and the story unfolds with plenty of action and suspense, witty verbal sparring (a few moments of physical sparring, too) and flirting, and lessons to learn about forgiveness, trust, and belonging.

Though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the Porter family, Her One and Only delivers a completely delightful conclusion, and I couldn’t help but love it. Alternatingly, it made me smile and (figuratively) bite my fingernails, and I had the hardest time putting this book down when necessary. Dru and Gray are easy to cheer toward love, and the added glimpses into the married lives of the other Porters make the book even more satisfying. I can easily recommend Her One and Only to any interested reader - it won’t disappoint.
