The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 8th and runs through Sunday, January 14th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 21 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
It's time for another round of Bout of Books—I'm so excited! I intend to have a fantastic reading week, since I decided to go back to school this year and probably won't have too much reading time later in the semester. So, without further ado, here's the list of books I'm hoping to get read:
-Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney
-The Princess Bride by William Goldman
-A Song Unheard by Roseanna M. White
* = started reading before January 8th
And throughout the read-a-thon week, I'll be posting here with my progress. (Feel free to join the reading fun by signing up over at Bout of Books!)
Happy reading!
Monday, January 8th:
Books I read: The Uncloaked (audiobook, finished), Artemis Fowl (audiobook), Winter Solstice (audiobook, finished), Tearing the Veil (audiobook), The Princess Bride
Mondays are never fun, but the books I read always help make them more palatable. Today, from a thought-provoking American dystopia to an uncontrollable troll and a bittersweet holiday for the Quinn family, I experienced quite a few ups and downs—lots of excitement and emotion. It looks like my reading week is off to a great start.

Challenge: Leave a Book Review
Here’s a review I wrote midweek for three of books I read at the beginning of the week:
Wow, you have read a lot. I'm way behind in my reading, but I hope to speed up a lot on Friday and Saturday. I loved the Popsugar Reading Challenge, but, sadly, this year I'm not doing it because every year gets longer and harder to actually complete it. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteYou've read a lot so far! I just started City of Brass on Tuesday & I'm loving it so far. I need to read up through Chapter 8 by tomorrow for a book club, so fingers crossed! The Princess Bride is also a good book, but a rare instance for me where I like the movie more. Hope you're enjoying Bout of Books!
