Tara Randel's Stealing Her Best Friend's Heart blends a trio of enjoyable tropes—matchmakers, home renovations, and friends to more—into an equally enjoyable romance, and obviously, I enjoyed it.
The perfect house brings childhood friends Heidi Welch and Reid Masterson back together. Reid concedes to selling Heidi the house if she helps him flip the house. Of course, as they spend time together doing renovations, their friendship cannot help changing; they must confront aspects of their pasts, and in doing so, discover fresh possibilities for the future.
I had a lot of fun with Heidi and Reid. The renovation trope is always one I forget I love until I actually pick up a book that features it. The old house makes for a perfect backdrop for meddlesome matchmaking and a romance sparked by friendship. Charming, delightful—a great read. Definitely pick up Stealing Her Best Friend's Heart if you enjoy contemporary romance.
