there's a little bit of mystery and a whole lot of charm in sharon j. mondragon's grandma ruth doesn't go to funerals!

it all starts when sarah mccready (a cpa—let's go!) goes to a funeral in place of her bedridden grandmother and hears of the man's confounding last words. of course, she must uncover the truth behind his message—and along the way, she discovers a little more about relationships, love, and faith amidst it all.

grandma ruth doesn't go to funerals is a sweet story with meddlesome family, a curious small town, and some definite drama. it's a feelgood, quick read that i enjoyed, and i'm sure other readers of contemporary fiction will have fun with it, too.

Sharon J. Mondragón is a Southern girl at heart, having spent most of her adult life where tea is sweet and mac and cheese is a vegetable. Settled in Midlothian, Texas, she writes, facilitates the prayer shawl ministry at her church, and teaches at the local yarn shop.
