MY REVIEW

In the third Black Ops Confidential book, it is time for Tony Parish, the member of the family presumed dead since the end of I Am Justice, to get a story, and of course, his story is no less action-packed and romance-filled than the two previous ones.

Now in Dominica after escaping from his female-dominated family, Tony becomes caught up in the trouble of another capable female, Honor Silva. Someone is out to sabotage Honor, and Tony’s upbringing will not let him stand aside and do nothing. As they work to figure out the truth behind the threat, a fast-paced, adrenaline-laced story unfolds.

So, I have to admit that this series has not been my favorite, and The Cost of Honor suffers from the same problems I noticed in I Am Justice and The Price of Grace: the action and drama can be over-the-top and off-puttingly ridiculous, and the romantic development does not always occur believably (I had a few eye-roll moments; I couldn't resist). Still, Tony and Honor surprised me, and I found quite a few engaging moments within their story.

The Cost of Honor may not have been as enjoyable as I hoped it would be, but it is an exciting romantic thriller nonetheless. Plenty of readers are loving it, so if you’re a fan of the genre, it could be just the read you need.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
