hearts on the covers | top ten tuesday

hosted weekly by that artsy reader girl

happy tuesday!

valentine's day is tomorrow, so here are some books on my tbr with hearts on the covers.

the 80s rom-com club by mikal dawn, bell renshaw, jennifer rodewald, betsy st. amant, teresa tysinger + jaycee weaver

"Is there, like, anything more totally awesome than the fun, feel-good rom-com blockbusters of the 1980s? The women who make up the online Just Another 80s Rom Com Lovers Club don't think so. Join these digital friends as they each live out their own swoon-worthy love stories, minus teased bangs and mini skirts, reminiscent of some your favorite romantic comedies from the most righteous decade."

bittersweet by sarah ockler

"It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it. Because in a place where opportunities are fleeting, she knows this chance may very well be her last...."

borrow my heart by kasie west

"When a girl overhears a guy getting verbally destroyed by his friends for being catfished, she jumps in to save the day—and pretends to be his online crush."

brighter than the sun by julia quinn

"When Charles Wycombe, the dashing and incorrigible Earl of Billington, toppled out of a tree and landed at Ellie Lyndon‘s feet, neither suspected that such an inauspicious meeting would lead to marriage. But Charles must find a bride before his thirtieth birthday or he’ll lose his fortune. And Ellie needs a husband or her father’s odious fiancĂ©e will choose one for her. And so they agree to wed, even though their match appears to have been made somewhere hotter than heaven…"

check + mate by ali hazelwood

"Mallory Greenleaf is done with chess. Every move counts nowadays; after the sport led to the destruction of her family four years earlier, Mallory's focus is on her mom, her sisters, and the dead-end job that keeps the lights on. That is, until she begrudgingly agrees to play in one last charity tournament and inadvertently wipes the board with notorious "Kingkiller" Nolan Sawyer: current world champion and reigning Bad Boy of chess."

gouda friends by cathy yardley

"Tam Doan dumped her boyfriend after he threw away her gourmet cheese. Sure, it’s a little more complicated than that, but the point is, he had it coming. Newly single and unemployed, Tam calls up her best friend from high school and utters the emergency code word—goldfish. Next thing she knows, she’s on a plane back home."

he's so not my valentine by savannah scott

"Valentine’s Day should be outlawed."

a lady's formula for love by elizabeth everett

"What is a Victorian lady's formula for love? Mix one brilliant noblewoman and her enigmatic protection officer. Add in a measure of danger and attraction. Heat over the warmth of humor and friendship, and the result is more than simple chemistry--it's elemental."

love overboard by shannon sue dunlap

"This laugh-out-loud rom-com features loveable characters, over-the-top situations reminiscent of 1950s sitcoms, and a dash of mystery. The toe-curling romance will push the reader overboard and all in with Shannon Dunlap's new series."

my phony valentine by courtney walsh

"A chance meeting. A hunky hockey player. A fake romance."

  2. This is the second heart cover post I've seen, and I can't get over how many different ways hearts have been used. It's so cool!
