As Georgia crossed her legs and bounced one foot at a rapid rate, her eyes were drawn upward to the stained-glass windows situated on both sides of the church. They were breathtaking. Morning light filtered through colored glass, brightening the space with a glorious glow.
Beauty in the broken.
The phrase filled her mind as she recognized familiar Bible stories brought to life in each window. The beauty was evident in the broken shards when crafted into a masterpiece.
Broken shards. That’s how my life feels about now.
She tuned in to the words being read by a middle-aged woman dressed head-to-toe in purple. Something about a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. Familiar verses she never stopped to consider before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
