Their Baby Blessing | First Line Friday + The Friday 56

The Friday 56 is hosted weekly by Freda's Voice.
First Line Friday is hosted weekly by Hoarding Books.

Happy Friday!

Heidi McCahan's new release looks absolutely adorable, and I hope I can make time to read it soon.

(Hop over to Instagram to find out about a great giveaway!)

First Line: She shouldn't have said yes.

From Page 56: How could one little person's temper tantrum ruffle her feathers so easily?

ABOUT THE BOOK

The navy prepared him for anything…

except an instant family.

When navy veteran Gage Westbrook promised to look out for his late best friend’s son, he never imagined he’d bond with the baby boy. And he definitely didn’t plan to fall for Connor’s gorgeous temporary guardian, Skye Tomlinson. But weighted by guilt for the accident that took Connor’s dad, can Gage find the courage to forgive himself and embrace the chance at a family?

Now, feel free to leave a line from a book near you in the comments below.

  5. Happy Friday! I'm sharing from an upcoming release today, Belinda Blake and the Snake in the Grass by Heather Day Gilbert. Here is the first line from Chapter 2:

"The first person I saw was Jacques, who was driving a lawnmower directly up an incline that made me hold my breath for his safety."

  6. Sorry I'm late coming around. My internet went down yesterday and it's been mostly down since then. They're sending someone out Monday to figure out what's going on. On my blog this week I featured The Brides of Big Valley by Wanda, Jean, and Richelle Brunstetter but I am currently reading Tate by Susan May Warren so I'll share the first line from chapter 4 here: "With one article of clothing, Glo became a new woman." Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of reading time! :)
