MY REVIEW

Looking for a fresh start, Josie heads to South Carolina to spend the summer with her aunt. Of course, this fresh start is not without its challenges, as she navigates new friendships, romance, and mystery—plus some important life lessons through it all.

Josie’s story unfolds in An Unexpected Role, and it is a fun, summer-y YA story (perfect to read amidst the snowy weather). I enjoyed getting to know Josie, as well as the cast of characters surrounding her, and seeing her grow through her experiences. It is a good read for anyone in need of something quick and hopeful.
