reading Amish fiction novels, I’ve noticed how authors always include the mouth-watering
descriptions of a variety of home-cooked dishes and delicious desserts and make
me long for such meals. Now, with cookbook Gather Around the Amish Table,
compiled by Old Order Mennonite Lucy Leid, I can finally try my hand at these
typical Amish meals. Leid’s cookbook is filled with simple, delicious,
authentic recipes - highlighted with colorful, enticing pictures and
interesting accompanying stories - for any time of day and any occasion and
offers a wonderful resource for anyone who enjoys cooking, baking and trying new
recipes. I would certainly recommend it.
