Happy Tuesday!
Fall is nearly here! I'm so excited! (It definitely isn't feeling like it yet, however.)
I have quite a genre-diverse list of books I'm hoping to read in the next few months. Lots of books I've been meaning to read for too long, plus some lovely new releases.
Books I'll be reviewing:
An Hour Unspent by Roseanna M. White
Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd
On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter
Shelter of the Most High by Connilyn Cossette
The Solace of Water by Elizabeth Byler Younts
Christmas books!
Catching Christmas by Terri Blackstock
Christmas With the Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe
The Christmas Prayer by Wanda E. Brunstetter
Lost Christmas Memories by Dana Mentink
A Tale of Two Hearts by Michelle Griep
Classics from The Great American Read list:
(Yes, all five of these books were on my Summer TBR, too... #fail)
The Call of the Wild by Jack London
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
"Spooky" reads, of course:
City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab
The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma
The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
What will you read this fall?
oooh - I read The Walls Around us a while back. It was definitely spooky, and so good. I'm really curious about the one by Holly Black. I think I have a copy, but haven't ever read it. And I love that you included Christmas books! Here's my TTT.
ReplyDeleteI reread LITTLE WOMEN this past year and it didn't hold the magic I remembered from my first time reading it as a young teen. I'll be curious to see what you think.
ReplyDeleteI read these lists and I start to panic. There are so many books out there that I haven't even heard of and now I want to look into them. But my TBR is already over 100 books long. If I just read them it would take me over a year to finish the list without adding new titles (which I do all the time.) Eek! My Fall TBR list
You've got an impressive and well rounded list - classics and contemporary!! Hope you enjoy all of these reads, Hallie. Happy fall TBR-ing. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it time to think about Christmas books already!!! Eek!
ReplyDeleteI have An Hour Unspent on my TBR, too! And I need to catch up with Denise Hunter's series.
I really loved Little Women! And, I think I made it 1/4 of the way through The Call of the Wild when I was a young teen. That counts, doesn't it? :) Happy reading!
My TTT
I got The Darkest Part of the Forest for my birthday earlier this month. Definitely looking forward to picking it up - eventually, hah.
ReplyDeleteAs for spooky reads.. I'm hoping to read Escaping from Houdini - the first two books felt spooky enough for me so I can't imagine this one won't! - and IT. Can't miss out on Stephen King during October, right?
Here's my TTT should you be interested. :D
