ABOUT THE BOOK
For the Bradshaw brothers, coming back to their hometown is the last thing they wanted. But to cope with family tragedy, they’re reuniting in Benevolence, Washington—a place of hope, caring, and ever-surprising love...
It’s ex-Navy SEAL Porter Bradshaw’s toughest challenge ever—six grieving nieces and nephews. With his brother, Matthias, killed in a car crash, and his sister-in-law, Sunday, hospitalized, Porter must take his turn looking after their children and the ancestral farm. He doesn’t know much about parenting. Still, Porter is used to going it alone professionally—and personally. But warm-hearted teacher Clementine Warren is a complication he can’t resist...
For Clementine, Benevolence is where her hopes for a real home and family crashed and burned. But as Sunday’s friend and former neighbor, she promised to always be there for the children. And as she and Porter work to comfort the young Bradshaws, his sense of duty and passionate commitment are rekindling more than Clementine’s dreams. Now with trouble coming, she’ll face down her fears to prove to Porter, and herself, that together they can make a future full of love...

GUEST POST FROM THE AUTHOR
Dear Reader,
In my neck of the woods, November brings blustery wind, falling leaves, bare trees, and forests sprinkled with fading color. It also brings hordes of people rushing to shopping centers and malls in the hopes of finding the best deals on the newest gadgets. It is easy to get caught up in the hubbub of the holiday rush and forget the most important things: family, friends, and those soul-deep connections that form through the highs and lows of life.
During the past three years, I’ve learned more than I want to about the importance of having a strong network of friends and family. In 2015, I was diagnosed with lupus – an autoimmune disease that causes my immune system to attack healthy organs. Just a few months later, I was forced to leave a dangerous situation with nothing but my kids, my minivan and $100. To say that it was tough would be an understatement, but I learned a lot about myself as I navigated that very challenging road. I learned what I value, what I want, what matters most to me. Mostly, I learned that sheer grit and determination combined with a good plan, a boatload of faith, and a great network of support can accomplish a lot.
In Home Again, Clementine Warren is making her own fresh start. She’s been through tough times, but she is strong enough to overcome them. She is also smart enough to know what she wants, where she is going and how she is going to get there. She has everything planned out.
And, then her friend, Sunday Bradshaw, is nearly killed in a car accident.
Former Navy SEAL Porter Bradshaw has no experience with children, but when his brother is killed and his sister-in-law, Sunday, hospitalized, he leaves his LA home and travels to Benevolence, Washington, to care for his six nieces and nephews. He’s not expecting to find love in the small town where he grew up, but Clementine becomes a temptation he can’t resist.
As the two comfort six grieving children, they find themselves navigating unexpected paths and soon discover that what they thought they wanted is nothing compared to what they’ve found.
I hope you enjoy their story.
And, I hope you know that you are strong enough for today and for tomorrow. Whatever your path, may it always lead you home.
Best,
Shirlee McCoy
