Bout of Books #24

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 24 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Time for the first Bout of Books read-a-thon in 2019! Here's what I'm hoping to read this week (but of course, I'll likely change my mind and read a bunch of other books instead, ha!):

Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks
Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
The Marriage Bargain by Stephanie Dees
Meet the Sky by McCall Hoyle
My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
No Safe Place by Sherri Shackelford

* = started reading before January 7th

Throughout the read-a-thon week, I'll be posting here, on Twitter, and on Litsy (@hes7) with my progress. (Feel free to join the reading fun by signing up over at Bout of Books!)

Happy reading!

Monday, January 7th:

I'm off to a good start! Despite getting organized for a new semester of classes and reading a textbook or two, I managed to squeeze in plenty of time for fun reading. I finished two books I had previously started and then, enjoyed tackling a couple TBR books.

Lots of romance today and I loved it all! So much fun (but not enough homework, so tomorrow will involve a lot less reading).

Challenge: If You Like This, Try That

Saturday, January 12th:
Books I read: Rule #1: You Can’t Date the Coach’s Daughter (finished), Rule #2: You Can’t Crush on Your Sworn Enemy, An Assassin’s Guide to Love and Treason

The week’s total number of finished books: 11

What a week! Even though I started classes and had plenty of homework to do, I still surprised myself and read a lot. And looking at all I finished, there's a definite theme of romance; I don't hate it. It's been fun. Here's a final recap:
