Happy Monday!
It has been a beautiful week! Combined with a light load of homework, I was able to enjoy plenty of time with friends, out of doors (running, walking the dog, playing wiffle ball), and reading. Though I caught a bit of a cold, I enjoyed last week.
WHAT I READ LAST WEEK
The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan
A great YA contemporary of a girl discovering her family, history, and culture.
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
A fantastic thriller.
The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
Frustrating in its timeliness and still very funny, this is a good YA contemporary.
The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
LOVED it! Just wonderful.
Girls on Fire by Robin Wasserman
HATED it! Just awful.
Nerve by Jeanne Ryan
So fun! I enjoyed this crazy story.
Ten by Gretchen McNeil
A reimagining of And Then There Were None with teenagers. Petty, but thrilling.
The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma
LOVED it! An intriguing and ghostly story about friendship and justice.
WHAT I'M READING NOW
The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
WHAT I HOPE TO READ THIS WEEK
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco
The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
