Best Books I Read in 2018 | Top Ten Tuesday

Hosted weekly by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Happy Tuesday!

And happy 2019!

I read over 500 books in 2018, spanning a number of genres and ratings, and I loved so many of them. Narrowing my favorites to a short-ish list took some work, but I did it.

Without further ado, here are the 18 favorites books I most enjoyed in 2018:

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate

"Based on one of America’s most notorious real-life scandals—in which Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country—Lisa Wingate’s riveting, wrenching, and ultimately uplifting tale reminds us how, even though the paths we take can lead to many places, the heart never forgets where we belong."

The Broken Girls by Simone St. James

"When Fiona discovers that Idlewild Hall is being restored by an anonymous benefactor, she decides to write a story about it. But a shocking discovery during the renovations will link the loss of her sister to secrets that were meant to stay hidden in the past—and a voice that won't be silenced..."

Chakraborty perfect for fans of The Golem and the Jinni, The Grace of Kings, and Uprooted, in which the future of a magical Middle Eastern kingdom rests in the hands of a clever and defiant young con artist with miraculous healing gifts."

  3. 500 books? That's the most I've seen all day. Amazing! I'm currently reading The City of Brass. I got The Great Alone when it was on sale on Black Friday, but haven't read it yet. Falling For You has been on several lists today too.

    Happy New Year!
